At Proyecto Saladita, our community thrives through events that celebrate local culture and strengthen environmental education. In this section, we share the highlights of our recent activities and the impact they bring to Playa La Saladita.
Ceviche Fest at Playa La Saladita: Community and Environmental Education
Our first Ceviche Fest was proudly plastic‑free, reinforcing Proyecto Saladita’s commitment to sustainability and stewardship.
The celebration brought together around 150 people from our community. Of these, 81 guests purchased tickets to taste all the ceviches, while many others came to support the cause and enjoy the atmosphere. This mix of participation reflects the strength of our community: united in solidarity, celebration, and environmental awareness.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the local restaurants and private homes who made the event possible by donating their ceviches: Paco’s, Ilianet, Marea, Montcada, Yanet’s, El Botanero, Las Brisas, Siren Surf Adventures, Cabeza de Vaca Tequila Bar, Casa Sirena, Explore Saladita, Tienda La Marea.
Generous raffle donations from Saladita Beachside Inn, Casa Sirena, Chuko Roll Sushi, and an art piece by Diana Fuentes added excitement and helped raise further support. Special recognition goes to DJ Dario, who donated his time and music to make the celebration unforgettable.
The funds raised will allow us to continue our school visits and expand into the middle school, bringing environmental awareness and education to more students throughout 2026.
