Voices of the Sea – Audiovisual Event at Museo Arqueológico
On May 13, 2026, Proyecto Saladita hosted a 45‑minute audiovisual event at the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande in Zihuatanejo, attended by around 65 guests. The evening united film, science, music, and community voices, creating a cultural experience that reflected the mission of the project.
The short film La voz en el mar was presented with Ilianet Núñez Valdovinos, Local surfer and active member of Proyecto Saladita, embodying the spirit of the coast on screen. Viridiana De la O, president of Proyecto Saladita and the mind behind the story, introduced the vision that inspired the film. Dr. Trinidad Esmeralda Vilchis Pérez delivered an incredible talk on solid waste management and ocean conservation, giving science a powerful voice in the community. Local singer‑songwriter Jossy Gallegos delighted the audience with her live performance of the film’s theme song, weaving music and storytelling together. Behind the scenes, Nancy Guerrero represented the creative production that made the project possible.
This audiovisual event united voices in science, in art, in surfing, in production, and in community action, showing how women and local leaders together strengthen conservation and culture across the Costa Grande.
